Boot to the initial installer menu.
There press the e key to edit a boot entry (e.g., the Graphical one)
Use the arrow keys to navigate to the line that starts with linux, move to the right where the quiet parameter is, delete that (so we maybe get a bit more info) and add nomodeset there, then press CTRL + X to boot.
